The final design for the Lackland Corridor Gateway has been approved. "Tribute to Freedom" by San Antonio artist George Schroeder, in collaboration with local landscape architect Larry Hicks, is comprised of five metal forms representing the five branches of the United States Armed Forces: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy. The artwork will be located at the southwest corner of West Military Drive and Highway 90.
