Culture Commons

 

Culture Commons is located in the Plaza de Armas Building, home to the City of San Antonio’s Department of Government and Public Affairs and the Department of Arts & Culture. Culture Commons is managed by the Department of Arts & Culture and consists of a storefront gallery located on the first and second floors as well as a 1,500 sq. ft. exhibit hall that features visual art exhibits, performances, invited speakers, and workshops. 

The vision for Culture Commons is to serve as the City of San Antonio's cultural space that integrates the arts into our civic conversation by encouraging creativity, supporting local culture and engaging our community in transforming the future.

Located behind City Hall at 115 Plaza De Armas, Culture Commons is free and open to the public Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For information on reservations, please contact us.

• Turn left onto Commerce St. and continue for 1 mile

• Merge onto Commerce St.
• Continue onto Commerce St. for 1 mile
• Plaza de Armas Building, 115 Plaza de Armas will be on the left

 

From I-35 North

• Take exit 569C Santa Rosa St./Downtown
• Merge onto La Trinidad St/S Pecos St.
• Continue on S Pecos St. to Delorosa
• Turn left onto Dolorosa and continue for 0.4 miles
• Plaza de Armas Building , 115 Plaza de Armas will be on the left

 

From 1-35 South

• Take exit 155B W Cesar Chavez Blvd.
• Merge onto W Cesar Chavez Blvd.
• Turn left onto S Santa Rosa Ave.
• Turn right onto Dolorosa and continue for 0.1 miles
• Plaza de Armas Building , 115 Plaza de Armas will be on the left

 

• Dolorosa Parking Lot (corner of Dolorosa and Santa Rosa)

• Metered Street Parking along Dolorosa St.
