Karen Mahaffy's play house is a small-scale house/shade structure modeled after the "saltbox" style of houses in the neighborhoods that existed before HemisFair '68.  Laser cut steel panels with period wallpaper patterns, and roof panel cut to mimic large shady pecan trees create playful and delicate shadows and evoke the history of a bygone era.
